Foruminvest acquires building in Rotterdam for new hotel (re)development

Foruminvest has recently acquired an office building, located on the vibrant Wijnhaven Island in the center of Rotterdam. The existing building will be transformed into a sustainable 4-star hotel while respecting its current design.

The building comprises approximately 9,000 square meters and will be redeveloped into over 225 high-quality hotel rooms. Additionally, a restaurant and a library with workspaces will be created on the ground floor, welcoming both guests and the local community. The existing building (energy label E) will undergo a significant transformation to become a sustainable hotel with BREEAM Excellent certification. Moreover, the developer and hotel operator aim to meet the ‘Paris Proof’ standards for 2045 at the time of opening, striving for an optimal balance between costs, CO2 reduction, and improved comfort.
